Designing Repeating Prints for Fabric and Wallpaper, April 24th-26th

For those of you looking for an opportunity to dive a bit deeper into the world of printing by hand, this Weekend Workshop is just for you. This will be a two-day in-person “intensive” that will focus on designing and printing repeating patterns on fabric and wallpaper. Participants will be designing and making their own blocks and stencils with lots of guidance. You’ll have the opportunity to print a sample amount of either fabric or wallpaper (or, if you are feeling ambitious, both!) and take home the tools and knowledge to continue your work there.

This is a great opportunity if you’ve got a room or a wall that you’d like to make your own special wallpaper for, or a special home dec or quilting project that begs for an original print. I’ll be providing all the tools and inks required, plus a variety of beautiful fabrics (belgian linen, quilting cottons, and more) and blank wallpaper substrates, including a very fun and easy to install peel-and-stick option.

Don’t have an idea for your own design? I can help you develop one, or you can use something from my library. No previous experience is required, though watching our 3-part series on block printing (free to watch here) or having already attended our Ruby and Bee Workshops you’ll will give you a great foundation to work from.
